The Gargellen ski area offers 32 kilometres of slopes, 8 lifts and limitless freedom at an altitude of 2,130 metres. For experienced skiers the Nidla off-piste run waits to be conquered, whilst families can glide at leisure over the blue pistes on the Schafberg or enjoy the panorama in the Täli. Those aspiring to the heights can tackle the legendary Madrisa round tour, first strapping skins on their skis and literally reaching new frontiers. And best of all: thanks to Gargellen’s reliable snow record, its ski area offers valley runs well into spring. So in other words: you can (almost) ski right back into our heated ski room! There are many reasons why families, athletes and nature lovers all find something special in the Montafon: there are several different ski areas to explore, there is plenty to do off the slopes and the children can find lots of fun and entertainment.

The bottom station of the Gargellen lift system is just a few minutes’ walk away (600 metres). And because the Gargellen ski area has artificial snow-making facilities from December to April, you can ski back to the hotel, pretty much to the door, and straight into the heated ski depot. Guests wishing to explore other Montafon ski areas can get there by public bus.

Gargellen ski area: When it comes to snow, Gargellen is really spoilt. Whether you’re a skier, snowboarder or freerider, you’ll find superlative conditions, and will enjoy belting down the slopes to your heart’s content.

Fancy an exciting tobogganing party? The Montafon offers numerous runs, some even illuminated. Naturally, toboggan hire is available on site. Or even easier: grab a snow sledge and whizz down the hill behind the hotel.
