GET GOING IN THE MONTAFON
The alpine valley of the Montafon is surrounded by three mighty mountain ranges: the limestone crags of the Rätikon, the Silvretta range with its glaciers and the idyllic Verwall mountains. Hikers, trail runners and nature enthusiasts can experience the diversity of the Alps thanks to 1,130 kilometres of marked walking tracks. Enjoy following ancient trails in the footsteps of former smugglers, and then stop at a working alm or rustic alpine hut for refreshments.
As a guest at our hotel, your participation in the BergePLUS programme is free of charge. Various cable cars are available to whisk you in comfort up to numerous stunning viewpoints, or to ease the final climb to the summit of your choice. Thanks to the cable cars, chairlifts and the walkers’ bus, you can reach your desired starting point comfortably and easily.
The Montafon – an alpine mosaic: In the Montafon you have an extremely exciting geological area: the busy valley, the quiet Verwall, the imposing Silvretta and Rätikon. Over millions of years, in what constitutes a relatively small area of land, an extraordinary geological diversity has developed. The different hiking tracks, their stories and landscapes make up the individual pieces of a mosaic that comes together to form one fascinating whole.
